More than just a festival, Converge on the Goulburn brings together food, culture and performances from Greater Shepparton’s Aboriginal and multicultural communities in celebrating the richness of our community and it’s on again!
Converge on the Goulburn is taking place on March 18 and you’re invited to come on down to be part of the festivities. Formerly known as the Emerge Festival and now in its fifth year, Converge on the Goulburn is a colourful cultural celebration with nonstop music, movement, colour, art and tasty authentic foods from all corners of the globe.
Participate in interactive cultural workshops and activities or relax in the outdoor lounge while enjoying flavoursome zesty cuisine cooked by local communities, this is not to be missed.
Greater Shepparton City Council’s Director Sustainable Development Johann Rajaratnam encourages everyone to come along to celebrate the diversity of our community.
“There will definitely be something for everyone at Converge. The Victoria Park Lake is the perfect setting for an evening of music, fun and food,” suggests Mr Rajaratnam. “In celebrating the diversity that comprises Greater Shepparton, Converge is the perfect way for you and your family to learn more about and experience the values, rituals and traditions of the many cultures that call Greater Shepparton home.”
