Riverlinks and Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) are excited to announce that community art exhibitions will be re-introduced at the Eastbank Centre later this year. These foyer exhibitions are a joint initiative between Riverlinks Venues and Shepparton Art Museum.
Eastbank Centre attracts around 75,000 attendees each year to a wide variety of functions and performing arts events. The exhibitions will be located in the downstairs foyer of the Centre, and will be open to individual artists as well as community groups.
“Our aim is to support local artists and to provide them with a public space to display their work,” said Ken Cameron, Manager Performing Arts and Conventions at Greater Shepparton City Council. “We also want to make the foyer more attractive and bring people into the venue to enjoy the exhibitions on display.”
Exhibitions will need to consist of artworks that can be hung on foyer walls; sculptures or other 3D work will not be suitable as there is limited space for plinths. Exhibitions will remain on display for six weeks.
Artists or groups who are interested in showcasing their work should contact Ken Cameron, Manager Performing Arts and Conventions.
Application forms and contact details are available on the Riverlinks website and can be downloaded below. Hard copies are also available at the Riverlinks Box Office.
