Construction of a new boardwalk at Australian Botanic Gardens is now complete and open to the public. The project took three weeks to complete as part of the shared path network upgrades by Greater Shepparton City Council.
The 95 metre long boardwalk runs adjacent to the existing path in an area that is prone to flooding, to ensure the shared pedestrian and cycling path is accessible in all seasons and weather conditions.
Greater Shepparton City Council Director Infrastructure Gary Randhawa said Council is committed to extending, connecting and improving the shared path network.
“The addition of this new boardwalk is just one example of how are we improving the shared path network so the community can continue to enjoy healthy and active lifestyles,” he said.
