Featuring experts from The Platypus Conservancy, everyone is welcome to come along and learn all about the unusual egg-laying mammal. Participants will learn about the biology and ecology of the species, including their evolution, diet, venom, sensory systems, life history and how to spot platypus.
Greater Shepparton City Council Manager Environment Greg McKenzie encouraged everyone to come along.
“Their duck bill, beaver tail and otter feet combine to make the Platypus one of Australia's most beloved and peculiar mammals. At the session everyone can learn all about the Platypus in a fun, interactive and educative environment,” said Mr McKenzie.
