Greater Shepparton City Council wishes to advise the community that Old Dookie Road between Wheeler Street and Doyles Road will be closed to traffic travelling east from Wednesday 10 May 2017 in order to allow pavement construction works to be carried out.
The reconstruction works are programmed to be completed in September 2017.
During the road closure eastbound traffic will be diverted via Wheeler Street to New Dookie Road and to Doyles Road. Traffic travelling west will still be able to use Old Dookie Road, traffic management plans below.
Greater Shepparton City Council’s Director Infrastructure Steve Bowmaker said the construction works that had minimal traffic impact were carried out during the first month of the upgrade.
“It’s now time to start the road pavement works, especially while we have favourable weather.
“Council apologises for any inconvenience caused to local residents and motorists during the works, and I would like to thank all residents and motorists for their patience during the upgrade.”
All residents can sign up to receive regular email updates about the upgrade by subscribing via Council’s ‘Major Projects’ webpage.
