Greater Shepparton City Council urges residents to be mindful of the weight of their green lid bins as we experience ongoing wet weather across the municipality.
Residents are improving in the way they utilise the green lid bin and should be mindful that if the weight of their green lid bin exceeds 100kg or the lid does not close then the kerbside truck is unable to lift and empty the bin come collection time.
In the case this occurs, Council officers will contact the contractor to determine when and if the bin can be collected, and those residents will be contacted accordingly.
In between fortnightly collections Council encourages residents to empty the bin at a Resource Recovery Centre. The standard charges will apply.
