The highlight of this year's International Dairy Week, held at Council's Tatura Park, was a record breaking sale of a 2 month old calf for quarter of a million dollars.
Lot 1 in the WWS Evolution Sale, created history selling for $251K to Sexing Technologies, Texas.
This new Australian record was set by vendors Declan & Ellie Patten and Callum Moscript, surpassing the previous record of $150,000.
The average price of other heifers sold at auction was over $14, 700.
The calf, in genetic terms, is considered to be the fourth best ever bred in the world, and will now make her new home in Texas.
