Please don’t forget about your furry friends over the Christmas break.
If you are going away for a day or two without your companions please ensure they will be well looked after with good shelter, food and plenty of water.
If you are going away for an extended period ask a relative, friend, neighbour to take them or place your animal in a boarding kennel.
Remember dogs and cats love human company so make sure they are not left alone for any more than a day.
Please ensure your animals are securely contained on New Year’s Eve. Fireworks will occur at John Gray Oval, Mooroopna. Dogs can become quite scared with the noise of fireworks. If your dog escapes the animal rangers are on call and will return dogs to their owners as long as they are microchipped and registered for identification.
Any dogs without identification will be housed at the animal shelter and the after hour’s number can be called to check if they are there.
