Selling fee for lamb sale waived for charity

A Lamb Drive will be held at the Shepparton Regional Saleyards this Friday 6 October to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital. The Devenish Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal Committee together with the Dookie and Tungamah Lions Clubs have organised the event where donated lambs will be offered for sale.

Greater Shepparton City Council, to show its full support of the event, has waived the selling fees and yard dues for the donated lambs.

Greater Shepparton City Council Director Infrastructure/City Engineer Phillip Hoare said the sheep being donated must have the correct NDIS tags and be in a healthy condition.

“We are very pleased to be able to support this fundraising effort for such a great cause and I hope it’s a great outcome for the Children’s Hospital on Friday,” said Mr Hoare.

The charity sale will commence at 10am, Friday 6 October at the Shepparton Regional Saleyards, 48 New Dookie Road, Shepparton. Anyone wanting to donate lambs for the sale can contact Alan Shields on 0438 379 401.
