Show RESPECT for each other

Young people aged between 14 and 16 in Greater Shepparton are encouraged to enter a video/photography competition to show what they believe RESPECT should look like in our community.

GoPro and Digi SLR Cameras to be won!

We want young people to share their views on RESPECT with other young people. We want to hear why you think it is important to RESPECT your peers and what important messages you want to tell other young people about the need to show respect to each other.

The aim of this competition is to increase respect for each other and in turn work to prevent the instances of family violence and violence in general in our community.

How to enter

Entries can be submitted via social media (Facebook and YouTube) and a link emailed to jessica.kirwin@shepparton.vic.gov.au or you can submit your entry at 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton, or via post to:

This project is a partnership between Greater Shepparton City Council, Family Care and Berry Street.


Terms and conditions

  1. Entries are open to all young people aged 14-16 years living or studying within Greater Shepparton municipality.
  2. The Greater Shepparton City Council, FamilyCare and Berry Street reserve the right to disqualify any entrants who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  3. Illegible or incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
  4. Any photo which includes a photo of a person/people must attach an image release form for each individual in the photo and if any individual in the photo is under the age of 18 years the form must be signed by their parent/guardian. Any entry which does not include these forms will not be accepted. Photo/Recording Release Form is available for download below.
  5. All entries must be received by mail, e-mail or in person at Greater Shepparton City Council.

  1. Entries open 9th February and close 30th April, any entries received after this date will not be accepted.
  2. Each entry will be judged based on artistic, creative and powerful message merit.
  3. Winner will be announced before  27st May. Winner will be notified by e-mail and telephone.
  4. The Judges decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Images/video will be displayed on all means of Greater Shepparton City Council social media and any related content from the competition from all parties including Greater Shepparton City Council, FamilyCare and Berry Street.
  6. Entrants must provide personal details for the work to be displayed and judged. Entrants have the right to have their name removed from their work. Entrants can choose to be anonymous however they may forfeit their right to prizes and publicity.
  7. Once designs are submitted they become the property of Greater Shepparton City Council, FamilyCare and Berry Street and all three parties will own all intellectual property rights.
  8. Designs may be submitted in JPEG format, or hard copy image. Video entries may be submitted as links to a YouTube video or other publicly available video sharing site.
  9. All entries must be received by 30th April by either of the above mentioned methods.

Attachments
