Social Recovery Quick Response Grants available

Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to introduce a Social Recovery Quick Response Grant program. Grant funding of up to $1,000 is available for small-scale projects that help the community respond to the impacts of the pandemic.

The grant program provides funds for community organisations in Greater Shepparton to support recovery activities, for example to conduct COVID-19 safe training, and activities that allow groups to reconnect and continue their activities.

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Cr Kim O’Keeffe encouraged eligible non-for-profit organisations to apply.

“The Social Recovery Quick Response Grant has been created to fund community-led recovery activities. The grants will fund activities that promote positive mental and physical health, build community resilience and engagement, and assist with the re-engagement of volunteers,” she said.

“The Greater Shepparton community has initiated and delivered a range of social recovery activities throughout the pandemic. These grants further demonstrate Council’s commitment to supporting our local communities.”

A total of $20,000 is available through the grant program, with up to $1,000 available for each project.

For more information and to apply, visit Council’s website or phone Council on (03) 5832 9700.
