Greater Shepparton City Council wishes to provide an update in relation to the traffic conditions at the intersection of Andrew Fairley Avenue / Lockwood Road / Old Dookie Road and the SPC entrance in Shepparton.
The roundabout is currently closed to all traffic while upgrade works have been undertaken over the past two weeks and was expected to reopen to traffic tomorrow, Friday 11 August, with full project completion by Tuesday 29 August 2023.
Council Officers, along with the contractor, have identified an opportunity to bring forward the completion date of the project by two weeks, which will see the project fully completed by Friday 18 August 2023.
To accommodate this, the roundabout will remain closed for one more week and will reopen to traffic on Friday 18 August. This opportunity will reduce the overall construction time of the works and minimise the risk to the public and road users.
Access into SPC and the adjacent homes and businesses will continue to be maintained over the next week, however detours will remain in place so please follow the signage and traffic control personal.
Council thanks business owners and residents for their patience during the works.
For further information, visit project page or phone Council on (03) 5832 9700.
