The Watt Road Bridge has now reopened to traffic
An inspection by a bridge engineering specialist confirmed that the damage to the bridge is minor and confined to a cross head at the second group of piles.
The damage was caused by a suspicious fire on Tuesday. Council thanks the public for their patience while the bridge was closed.
