The Goulburn Broken Greenhouse Alliance "Watts Working Better" project, has been recognised with a finalist nomination in this year's Premier’s Sustainability Awards.
The $4.4 million project replaced street light bulbs with a more energy efficient alternative across nine councils including:
Now in their 13th year, the Awards continue to promote leadership and innovation in sustainability, and encourage others to adopt more sustainable practices in their everyday lives.
The Premier of Victoria will select two overall winners for the Premier’s Recognition Award and the Premier’s Regional Recognition Award who have implemented sustainable benefits for regional Victoria.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 29 October at the Plaza Ballroom, Melbourne. Tickets are now available for purchase at www.sustainabilityawards.vic.gov.au
