Sorry Day 2017

We invite you to share in our local Sorry Day commemoration.

  • 10.30 – 11.15am Sorry Day Commemoration
  • 11.15 – 11.45am Commemorative Walk along Fryers St to the murals of Uncle Doug Nicholls and Uncle William Cooper
  • 11.45am La Trobe University commemoration
  • 12.15am A light lunch will be provided at LaTrobe

In 2000, 'SORRY' was written in the sky above 500,000 Australians walking across the Harbour Bridge.

Sorry Day is now commemorated nationally with thousands of Australians from all walks of life participating in memorial services, commemorative meetings, survival celebrations and community gatherings to acknowledge the Stolen Generations.
