Positive Ageing Action Plan
Council’s Positive Ageing Strategy has been superseded by the Positive Ageing Action Plan and this is now intrinsically linked to Council’s Health and Wellbeing plan and the Universal Access and Inclusion plan.
The Greater Shepparton City Council remains committed to our older residents and the actions within the Health and Wellbeing Plan and the Universal Access and Inclusion plan ensure that Council is working towards creating an ‘age friendly’ community for the residents who live within the municipality.
The main areas of focus are:
- Settlement,
- Housing and Infrastructure,
- Participation in Community Life,
- Workforce Participation,
- Transition to Retirement and Financial Wellbeing,
- Community Planning and Leadership.
