Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame

The aim of the Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame is to preserve, celebrate and showcase the history and heritage of sports excellence and achievement of Greater Shepparton residents.

Greater Shepparton is well known for having a strong sporting identity, both locally and at state and national level. The Sports Hall of Fame was established to recognise the achievement of Greater Shepparton sports people who have made a significant contribution to their sport at the Australian representative level.

Advisory Committee

An advisory committee oversees the Sports Hall of Fame, recommends inductees to Council, and celebrates their achievements through an official induction ceremony. The committee meets once every month and has been established in accordance with the Greater Shepparton Sports Hall of Fame – Terms of Reference.

Council is currently calling for nominations from community members to be part of the Advisory Committee.

The Committee will consist of 10 members for a 2 year term, and will include:

  • 1 ValleySport representative
  • 4 Council representatives 
  • Up to 5 community members
