Business owners and operators are invited to attend workshops in Mooroopna and Tatura to have their say into Greater Shepparton City Council’s Economic Development, Tourism and Events Strategy.
The strategy will assess the opportunities for investment in Greater Shepparton and will provide strategic direction to Council to enhance the region’s economy. The strategy will also identify opportunities for growth and methods of overcoming barriers.
Council’s Acting Director Sustainable Development Geraldine Christou said it was important to capture information from all sectors within the community.
“The feedback gathered from the workshops will ensure an accurate reflection of the strengths, opportunities and threats are highlighted within the strategy so appropriate measures can be taken to ensure that the business and industry sector prospers into the future within Greater Shepparton. This is a great opportunity to influence future priorities within these areas, and I urge all interested stakeholders to participate,” Ms Christou said.
