The successful applicants would receive $250 towards their not for profit organisation plus all gold coin donations over the allocated four day period.
The successful applicants would be required to work up to four days in a row. Council’s Director Sustainable Development Johann Rajaratnam encouraged local community groups to apply.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for local community groups to earn some additional income whilst removing the stress of gift wrapping from our shoppers,” Mr Rajaratnam said.
“The Christmas wrapping service provides even more reasons to shop locally this Christmas and support our local traders.”
Four groups will be selected to take part.
Applications will be received until 18 November.
