Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking input and feedback from our community on the 2021-2025 Revenue and Rating Plan. Greater Shepparton community members can provide their thoughts on how rate revenue can be distributed in the fairest and most equitable way across properties within the municipality, and how fees and charges can be determined.
The services and infrastructure that Council provides to its communities and businesses are essential to development, growth, sustainability and future of our region, and rates provide a significant source of funding to enable continued growth within the municipality.
Consultation is now open on the Shaping Greater Shepp website, while community information sessions are being held on Monday 19 April at 12.30pm and 5.30pm in the Council Board Room at 90 Welsford Street Shepparton. COVIDSafe practices will be in place during these sessions to continue to keep our community safe and well.
The information sessions provides the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification or ask for additional information to assist in informing a position on the Revenue and Rating Plan. Shaping Greater Shepp has a presentation available to walk people through how the Revenue and Rating Plan is developed, frequently asked questions, a rate calculator function and a quick survey to have direct input in developing the plan.
Consultation will close on the Shaping Greater Shepp website on Sunday 9 May.
Whether it’s via the online portal or in person, our community is encouraged to make the most the opportunity to have their say.
For more information please visit shaping.greatershepparton.com.au or call 5832 9700.
