Feedback wanted to help shape Shepp East Locality Plan

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking community input from people who live work or play in the Shepparton East area to help develop the town’s first locality plan.

Council’s Director Community Kaye Thomson said once completed, the plan will be owned and driven by the Shepp East community.

“It is therefore important that we gather feedback from all areas of the Shepp East community, whether you live, work or play there,” Ms Thomson said.

“I encourage people to have their say by either attending one of the activities mentioned below or by filling in a short survey.”

Community Plans are developed by the local community for the local community. Residents drive the development of the plan through extensive community consultation, resulting in a shared vision for the future and key opportunities and actions for their town, locality, or neighbourhood.

Community plans belong to the community and Council works with the community to implement actions within the plan. Council currently works in partnership with 13 community plan groups across the municipality.
