Flood Recovery Hotline 1800 560 760
The Flood Recovery Hotline is a single, state-wide number that Victorians impacted by the October 2022 floods can call for help with:
- Navigating available support
- Clean-up
- Temporary accommodation
- Mental health and wellbeing support
The Flood Recovery Hotline is open from 7.30am to 7.30pm every day.

Flood emergency impact on Council services
Greater Shepparton City Council would like to advise the community that our Customer Service Centre in Welsford Street, Shepparton, is now open Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.
The Customer Service Call Centre is also open for phone enquiries from 8:15am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
The following Council services/facilities are currently closed:
- Shepparton Saleyards: Closed
- Aquamoves: Closed
- Animal Management Services: Council staff are currently providing a business-hours only service. After-hours requests will be
- Animal Shelter: Closed to the public except by appointment. Call (03) 5832 9700 Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 5pm.
- Children’s Services facilities: (including Maternal Child Health, Playgroups, Daycare and Kindergarten.
- Maternal Child Health services will resume face-to-face from this morning (Monday 24 October) onwards.
- All other Children's Services facilities: Closed
Council-owned buildings must complete an insurance assessment before they can be used by community/user groups. We anticipate this will be done early next week. It is important that no one enter the facilities until they have been inspected for electrical and building safety (including confirming presence of asbestos). Council's Building Maintenance team will organise this, and notify user groups once safe to enter the property.

Need help recovering from the floods? Whether you need food or some manual labour to help move rubbish, let us point you in the right direction for flood recovery assistance and get you back on your feet.
Travel / Public transport
Please do not travel if you don’t need to. Victorians are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel with hundreds of roads damaged or closed due to flooding. All major road closures are listed at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au.

Balfours Airport Direct has resumed their airport shuttle service from Mooroopna/Shepparton, Murchison East, Nagambie, Seymour to Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport twice a day, 7 days a week.
Road closures
Council is currently monitoring water levels and access to road ways. Please check our Road Closures post for key roads that have been closed due to flooding.
