Greater Shepparton City Council will be closed on Friday 2 October for the AFL grand final public holiday. For emergencies during this time, please contact an officer on duty by phoning (03) 5832 9700 and following the prompts. Council will reopen on Monday 5 October at 8.15am.
What's open-
Aquamoves: open from 8.30am-5pm. Please visit www.aquamoves.com.au for Friday’s group fitness timetable.
Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre: open 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Shepparton Art Museum: open from 1pm to 4pm.
SPC KidsTown: open from dawn til dusk.
What's closed-
Riverlinks: The Riverlinks Box Office will be closed on Friday, 2 October and will reopen at 10am on Saturday, 3 October. Tickets can still be purchased online at www.riverlinksvenues.com.au during this time.
Greater Shepparton Business Centre:closed Friday 2 October and will reopen at 8.15am on Monday 5 October.
Goulburn Valley Regional Library Corporation: All branch libraries will be closed on 2 October.
Greater Shepparton Children’s Services: Council’s Long Day Care, Occasional Care, Family Day Care Office and Kindergartens will be closed for the public holiday. Some individual Family Day Care Educators may be operating on this day. Please check with your individual provider.
Aged Services
Home Care services are NOT available on the public holidays and cannot be transferred to another day.
Personal Care (showering) will be provided as normal, unless you cancel your service. Please contact your Care Manager to advise of cancellations.
Personal Care (shopping) where it falls on a public holiday will be transferred to another day.
Respite Care on public holidays can be provided with Care Manager’s approval. Please contact your Care Manager if you require respite care on public holidays.
Social Connection Groups will not run on public holidays. Don’t forget to call the office to notify of any days you cannot attend your usual program. Cancellations can be made weeks ahead if there is a time you know you will be away.
Meals on Wheels will continue as usual on all public holidays. To advise of any cancellations please call 5832 9808.
Cancellations can be made weeks ahead if know of a time you will be away. The earlier the notice the better. Don’t forget though, if you are cancelling on a day of a meal delivery, you must do so before 9.30am.
