Greater Shepparton City Council has received growth funding from the Department of Health and Human Services for respite services in the municipality.
Commencing 1 July 2016, Council will receive an extra 1500 hours for respite services. To ensure an equitable distribution to current clients, Council will allocate an extra one hour per month to each client. The remaining hours will be available to meet the growing needs of our community.
Council administers the funding on behalf of the government. Council also provides a financial contribution towards the Home and Community Care Program in addition to government funding.
Letters have been sent to all current respite clients informing them of this growth funding.
