The original slides were built almost 20 years ago and provided generations of locals and visitors with plenty of fun times at KidsTown.
With the old slides in average condition and changes to playground standards meaning they were not meeting current requirements, the new slides are an exciting addition to the wide range of equipment at KidsTown.
The new slides have been made in the KidsTown colours and were manufactured and installed by Victorian company Omnitech.
The overall works included new slides and supports, new landings, exit platforms, barriers and significant work to replace timber decking and stairs while the area was closed.
