Traffic management changes - Toolamba and Simson Road intersection
Posted on
Tuesday 10th of March, 2026,
Council wishes to advise that traffic management at the intersection of Toolamba Road and Simson Road, Mooroopna will change from Tuesday 17 March 2026.
The intersection is currently being upgraded to accommodate a B-Double-rated, single-lane, 80 km/h roundabout, with these works forming part of the GV Link Enterprise Project.
Stage 1 of the roundabout work is complete, with Stage 2 requiring a change in the traffic flow. This will involve vehicles travelling in one direction through the roundabout, with the traffic flow managed by temporary traffic lights along Toolamba Road.
Works will continue to be undertaken between the hours of 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, and 7am to 3pm on Saturday, weather permitting.
Traffic management, including reduced speed limits and shuttle flow (traffic diversions), will remain in place until Stage 2 is completed.
Access to nearby businesses and properties will remain open. Motorists are advised to follow signage and take care when travelling in the area.
Council thanks the community for their patience and cooperation during these important infrastructure upgrades.
