Concrete & Brick Recycling

Council is committed to the conservation of the environment. The reduction of waste to landfill is an essential component of this commitment.

We have a construction and demolition waste recovery centre at the Shepparton Resource Recovery Centre. This centre takes in clean concrete (reinforced and non-reinforced), asphalt, bricks and roofing tiles.

The crushed material produced by this process is available for sale (subject to availability). It makes an excellent sub-base in a road pavement and is also suitable for farm tracks, hard standing areas, and other uses where a quality fill material is required.

We accept:

  • Clean concrete (Concrete free of adhesives, dirt or clay)
  • Reinforced and non-reinforced
  • Large lumps ( greater than 600 X 400) and small lumps (less than 600 X 400)
  • Clay bricks and clay roofing tiles
  • Asphalt

We do not accept:

  • Unclean concrete, asphalt or bricks/tiles
  • Asbestos or asbestos containing materials
  • Cement sheet, ceramic tiles, vinyl or timber

Please note only clean concrete, asphalt and bricks/tiles will be accepted. This means all reinforcement must be trimmed off the outside of the concrete.

  • Concrete, concrete bricks and blocks, concrete roofing tiles OR
