Seniors Festival Grants

Greater Shepparton City Council is committed to our older residents. Our aim is to promote the health and wellbeing of the older community, in line with the Greater Shepparton Public Health Strategy Plan 2018-2028 and the Greater Shepparton Public Health and Wellbeing Action Plan.

Greater Shepparton City Council invites applications from community led organisations and groups under the current round of the Victorian Seniors Festival Grants Program. The Program provides funding for the planning and delivery of events and activities for our valued senior community members of Greater Shepparton during the month of October. Events and activities during the Festival aim to increase social and community connections.

The Victorian Government, through the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing provides funding to all Victorian Local Governments to assist local organisations to develop, implement and promote activities and events during Victorian Seniors Festival.

Applicants and groups must be based in Greater Shepparton and operating not for profit. The proposed project should be able to demonstrate broad community benefit.

Funding is provided on a one-off basis to a maximum of $500.00 per successful grant application. Funding is limited and not all applications that meet the guidelines may be funded. Funding is on a project or program basis only, and no recurrent grants or annual funding commitments are available from this fund.
