Part of the Victoria Rural Race Series, Hexman offers a relatively flat and fast course through the Goulburn Valley's picturesque landscape, including views of the region's famous river red gum forests. The unique distance bridges the gap between sprint and Olympic formats, making it ideal for athletes stepping up to longer endurance racing while still achieving faster splits.

Organised by the Shepparton Triathlon Club—established in 1987 as the Goulburn Valley Triathlon Club—the event benefits from nearly four decades of local multisport expertise. Registration opens at 7:15 AM at the north end of Victoria Lake (Tom Collins Drive), with racing commencing from 8:25 AM and presentations around 11:15 AM.

The course's accessibility extends beyond race day: make a weekend of it by exploring Shepparton's Australian Botanic Gardens, Shepparton Art Museum, or the iconic Moooving Art cow sculptures scattered throughout the region. Your participation directly supports the local club and broader Goulburn Valley sporting community, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere where both participants and spectators create the supportive environment regional racing is renowned for.
