Grants and Funding

Council provides grants as one-off financial assistance to not-for-profit organisations running local projects and activities, such as local and regional events, community development activities, community health initiatives, environment, and revitalisation of space and heritage projects.

The grants program is aligned with the objectives of the Greater Shepparton Council Plan, to support established and emerging communities through activities, programs and events that contribute to community strengthening and bring a wide range of social and economic returns to the municipality.

There are two main grant rounds available for Council grants each year (note that some grants have different closing dates, so please visit their individual pages listed below to find out more).

Round 1 Community Grants - CLOSED

Round 1 of Greater Shepparton City Council's Community Grants have now closed. Late applications will not be accepted.

To see which grants are currently open, or to apply for a grant, visit Council's SmartyGrants portal.

Outcomes of Round 1 will be announced after the ordinary Council meeting on 15 October 2019.

For any questions, please contact Council on (03) 5832 9700.
