Grants and Funding

Council provides grants as one-off financial assistance to not-for-profit organisations running local projects and activities, such as local and regional events, community development activities, community health initiatives, environment, and revitalisation of space and heritage projects.

The grants program is aligned with the objectives of the Greater Shepparton Council Plan, to support established and emerging communities through activities, programs and events that contribute to community strengthening and bring a wide range of social and economic returns to the municipality.

There are two main grant rounds available for Council grants each year (note that some grants have different closing dates, so please visit their individual pages listed below to find out more).

Information sessions

The Our Sporting Future, Community Arts Grants, Small and Large Event Grants, Community Matching Grants and Community Sustainability Grants are all currently open for application until 5.00pm Monday 4 February 2019.

Greater Shepparton City Council is offering drop-in sessions for interested applicants to discuss their application with Council’s Grants Coordinator.

Drop-in session dates:

  • Tuesday 20 November 2018, 12pm - 2pm
  • Tuesday 4 December 2018, 4pm - 6pm
  • Wednesday 12 December 2018, 11am - 1pm
  • Monday 17 December 2018, 12pm - 2pm
  • Monday 14 January 2019, 4pm - 6pm
  • Wednesday 23 January 2019, 10am - 1pm
  • Wednesday 30 January 2019, 10am - 12pm
  • Wednesday 30 January 2019, 4pm - 6pm

All drop-in sessions will be held at Council’s main reception area, 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton.
