Grants and Funding

Council provides grants as one-off financial assistance to not-for-profit organisations running local projects and activities, such as local and regional events, community development activities, community health initiatives, environment, and revitalisation of space and heritage projects.

The grants program is aligned with the objectives of the Greater Shepparton Council Plan, to support established and emerging communities through activities, programs and events that contribute to community strengthening and bring a wide range of social and economic returns to the municipality.

There are two main grant rounds available for Council grants each year (note that some grants have different closing dates, so please visit their individual pages listed below to find out more):

Round 2, 2017/18 is now open and will close on 5 February 2018 at 5pm. The outcome of these applications will be announced after the April Ordinary Council meeting.

Groups considering applying for a grant are encouraged to attend our grant information sessions on Monday 22 January 2018. The sessions will cover how to apply, what the selection criteria are, and how to write a good application. Click here for details about the information sessions.
