Grants and Funding

Council provides grants as one-off financial assistance to not-for-profit organisations running local projects and activities, such as local and regional events, community development activities, community health initiatives, environment, and revitalisation of space and heritage projects.

The grants program is aligned with the objectives of the Greater Shepparton Council Plan, to support established and emerging communities through activities, programs and events that contribute to community strengthening and bring a wide range of social and economic returns to the municipality.

There are two main grant rounds available each year: Round 2 for 2016/17 is currently open and will close on Friday 3 February 2017 at 5pm.  Round 1 closed on Friday 12 August 2016; the outcome of applications submitted in Round 1 will be announced after the November Council meeting. Some grants have separate closing dates so please visit their individual pages to find out more.
