The Local Government Act 1989 requires Agendas and Minutes of Ordinary and Special Council meetings to be kept and made available for public inspection for a period of 12 months.
Council meetings are the formal decision making process of a Council and these documents are a valuable way to share information with the public and demonstrate openness, accountability and honesty within the Council. Council has therefore elected to make these documents available on the website for a substantially longer period of time than required by law.
All care is taken to maintain your privacy should you choose to participate in the process of a Council meeting however in the event that you do, it is assumed that your consent is given to the use and disclosure of any information that you share at the meeting (including personal or sensitive information) to any person who accesses these documents.
Should you require access to any Agendas and Minutes prior to those available on the website, please contact the Governance Department on 03 5832 9700.
