St George’s Road Community Plan
The St George's Road Neighbourhood Plan was developed by the community and was endorsed by Council in 2015.
St George’s Road is looking for new members to be part of a Neighbourhood Planning Committee.

Our neighbourhood is diverse and vibrant, with lots of friendly people and plenty of potential. We have our challenges but we feel that strengthening and connecting our community can create great outcomes for our future. We aspire to become a safer, more inclusive and supportive community, connected to the region and embracing our diversity.
The community engagement process identified a number of community priorities that the Steering Committee will work with the community and other partners to implement.
About the 2015 Plan
The top priorities included:
- More local events in the area
- Celebrate the unique character of our shopping precincts
- Improve community ability to grow and access fresh local food
- More public toilets in key public locations
- Welcome signage, improve streetscape in shopping precincts
The steering committee require support and assistance from the community, and welcomes anyone to join the committee or assist in any of the priorities.

This plan provides us with insight into the views of community members in this neighbourhood and what they hope to see in the future. It also provides us with a list of prioritised actions that we recognise as being important to the community, which we will continue to work towards with the support of both Council and the wider community.
